As soon as Shep Smith signed off Fox News on Friday, he rode down a freight elevator to the underground garage where a car and driver were waiting. His departure was emotional enough as is -- he didn't want a tearful goodbye in his studio or the newsroom.
He knew his colleagues would have questions and concerns. The big question: What will Fox's news operation look like without him?
Among rank and file staffers and even some of the network's anchors, there is deep concern that the news side of Fox will be further squeezed by the opinion shows that President Trump and his supporters prefer.

Absolutely, Levin, Judge Jeanine, Gutfeld, and Steve Hilton, Watters, those are weekend nights. Daytime weekends are horrible.
I can’t imagine how horrible it must be to watch Fox News for your information OR your entertainment.
Another thread here said he was paid 15 million a year.
Cow gas!
A friend of mine pointed out the other day that there are more sodomites on the news channels than there are veterans, and she was right. Among major news media personalities there nobody has a day in uniform; that’s pretty incredible.
Good riddance. I seldom watched Shepa ugly mug on TV.
He was a visceral Never Trumper. With a friend like him, conservatives dont need enemies.
The NYT and cable news have been dominated by poofter staffers and anchors.
CNN’s take. Who gives a **** what CNN says?
I love CNN
Says Brian Stelter the village idiot of CNN.
As abruptly as he quit, walking out on his contract, it kinda makes a guy wonder if an indictment or civil lawsuit is coming.
“Among rank and file staffers and even some of the network’s anchors, there is deep concern that the news side of Fox will be further squeezed by the opinion shows that President Trump and his supporters prefer.”
I just entered this into my CNN fake news BS detector meter and the needle shot off into outer space.
I hope Watters,Jeanine Piro,Gutman and Mark Levin survive the upheavals.
Not that I ever watch. Sorry.
I used to see them once in a while and I fully support them.
We now have NO reliable national network news. Isn’t that important? Like China, Russia, North Korea and Iran. “Obviously criminal Trump and Pence continuing destruction of climate of the planet by capitalist policies.”
Name the network (now any of them).
“Shep Smith first American hired by People’s News Network of Beijing.” “Live feeds to all American airports and train stations under new agreement.”
I bet he gets hired as a flight attendant.
note CNN uses the Fake Fox poll in the story:
- Earlier this week, for example, he (Trump) complained about the network’s well-respected polling unit, right after Fox released a poll showing a majority of Americans support impeachment -
just as WaPo’s Philip Bump did (as did the FakeNewsMSM worldwide for that matter):
10 Oct: WaPo: Five things you need to know about the poll thats making Trump so mad
by Philip Bump
5. Fox News has covered its poll less than other networks
One small detail that should relieve Mr Trump: His favourite network is talking about the results of the poll less than other networks.
A search of mentions of either Fox News poll or 51 per cent since the poll was released Thursday evening shows that Fox News and Fox Business have mentioned it less frequently than CNN or MSNBC, particularly when including overnight reruns of shows...

isn’t it funny how the FakeNewsMSM HATES FOX...except for when it suits their Trump-hating agenda.
...riddance...
Stelter and Shep? Is love in the air?
Sure thing doughboy.
