“During the ensuing press conference, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin revealed that Washington would delay tariff hikes that were scheduled for next week (However, Trade Rep Robert Lighthizer said Trump hasn’t made up his mind about the hike set for Dec. 15).”
So the tariff hikes could still happen.
I think we would have had a bigger sell off if there had been time to digest all of this.. The market liked it at first but as info became to come out I could see the stocks cave.
Who knows what will happen next week. Algos use any little thing to trigger.
People in the rust belt believed Trump and his pro American tariff policies he ran on. He has not come through. Blue collar voters PAY ATTENTION.
