Sorry Mitch the public opinion has.changed about war since Vietnam.
Majority of us baby boomers who served were there. An example of a senseless war.

We should have been supporting Assad from the beginning.

Assad protected Christians

Since Assad has been weakened Christians have been targeted for violence, forced conversion and murder.

Donald Trump is proceeding to ditch several of these little “brushfire” military engagements, and kind of shorten up the perimeter a little. The Turks and the Kurds have been at gunpoint with each other since, well, the time of the height of the Ottoman Empire, at least, if not for much longer. The Turks have attempted genocide several times, against those who were not “their” people, and trying to keep these two sides separated is a fool’s errand. Step out from between them, and withhold any support to the Turks, who under Erdogan, are proving to be some very unsteady allies. The Kurds have been very adept at defending themselves, and we can still provide moral and logistic support, in the guise of controlling ISIS resurgence, though probably a goodly part of that assistance will be turned upon the Turks.

The US should be preparing to withdraw altogether from TURKEY, and regrouping in a less hostile setting. Saudi Arabia, maybe, or Egypt, if the accommodations can be worked out with those countries, or possibly Greece, which has its own issues with Erdogan and Turkey.

And boot Turkey out of NATO.

Most important question: Why is Mitch making these statements?

He could make a recommendation to the president, then the president decides and Mitch should shut up.

Very bold decision. He’s the only one with the courage to go against the political grain. The people support him

What can 100 soldiers do?

That said, we should be arming the Kurds so they can defend themselves.
They’ve been our loyal ally for over a decade.

Think about thr ramifications for ANY group we ask to ally with us in future.

Democrats hate war unless Obama and Hillary are waging it.

“Russia, Iran, and the Assad regime”

Magog, Persia and House of Togarmah.

Well, Ezekiel 38 is probably not too far off. All three of these have been inside Syria since Obama and Hillary created the Arab Spring.

Just wait for Libya (Phut) to join in alliance.

Oddly enough, the two-faced douche Tulsi Gabbard hasn't praised President Trump's move; also odd is the absence of this story on FR before now:

You can find what I just listed there in Ezekiel 38:5 of a King James Bible.

Hey Mitch, if you are not willing or able to carry a rifle yourself, and you clearly have no children doing so, kindly shut the F’ up!

What funerals have you gone to of the blood you helped shed? I’m sure Trump is just plain tired of trying to comfort the grieving widows, orphans, mothers and fathers with empty words of why it was necessary.

The United States was supposed to be in Syria for 30 days, that was many years ago. We stayed and got deeper and deeper into battle with no aim in sight. When I arrived in Washington, ISIS was running rampant in the area. We quickly defeated 100% of the ISIS Caliphate,.....

....including capturing thousands of ISIS fighters, mostly from Europe. But Europe did not want them back, they said you keep them USA! I said “NO, we did you a great favor and now you want us to hold them in U.S. prisons at tremendous cost. They are yours for trials.” They.....

.....again said “NO,” thinking, as usual, that the U.S. is always the “sucker,” on NATO, on Trade, on everything. The Kurds fought with us, but were paid massive amounts of money and equipment to do so. They have been fighting Turkey for decades. I held off this fight for....

....almost 3 years, but it is time for us to get out of these ridiculous Endless Wars, many of them tribal, and bring our soldiers home. WE WILL FIGHT WHERE IT IS TO OUR BENEFIT, AND ONLY FIGHT TO WIN. Turkey, Europe, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Russia and the Kurds will now have to.....

...figure the situation out, and what they want to do with the captured ISIS fighters in their “neighborhood.” They all hate ISIS, have been enemies for years. We are 7000 miles away and will crush ISIS again if they come anywhere near us!

I think Libya is arming a ton of countries with weapons and slaves. They’re allied but you’re right, they need organization

The Kurds need to be highly train in FAC( forward air control) if some are not already. Then publically given the right to defend their own positions , based their own requests. Within Syrian & Iraq Kurd territory . Air support could come from any all coalition aircraft within their AO

Mitch McComical is like Paul Ryan. Gives lip service to Pres. Trump but true allegiance, to me, is questionable.
