Thousands were sent over during this period and participated in defeating the Indians. All of this however....had a price-tag attached, for the King’s ‘men’.
So the second issue, which you are correct on...taxation that started to increase in the 1760-1770 period.
If expansion had been controlled or limited, the Indian wars would have lessened, and the need for Army troops would have lessen as well.
