GOP Leadership Memo Suggests Senate Cannot Block Trial If House Votes To Impeach Trump

The Republican leadership issued a memo Saturday clarifying that the Senate must take action if the House of Representatives approves articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump. The statement came in response to concerns that the Senate could simply refuse to hold a trial.

“There is no way we could somehow bar the doors and prevent the managers from presenting the articles to the Senate,” stated the memo, which was obtained by HuffPost. “The rules of impeachment are clear on this point.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) also said as much in a March interview with NPR: “If it [impeachment] were to happen, the Senate has no choice. If the House were to act, the Senate immediately goes into a trial.”

Just 18 years ago, on 09.11.2001, it was impossible to think for a moment that a non natural born Citizen, born who knows where, named Barack Hussein Obama with his hate America first crowd would be voted into office. Twice.

Then, as if that wasn't crazy enough...Nancy Pelosi becomes speaker of the house, again, in 2018.
For good measure, Occasional Cortex, Rashida "impeach the MF'er" Tlaib and Ilhan "incest immigration fraud" Omar are elected to office.

Let's also not forget the new radical leftist organizations (to add to the existing ones) "Black Lives Matter" and "Antifa" are both relatively new.

There are many other examples of the increased rot in our society.

Yes...yes, there are an INCREASING number of America hating, racist against whites, radical socialist / marxist / communists in this country.

The proof is who has been elected to office in the last 20 years.

The dems are dirty evil bunch of inhuman beings. IF that bunch of corruption gets Trump impeached, this would be the end of the United States of America...the home of the free and the brave!
The dems are after power and ONLY power. If they get back in control, free health care will be who lives and who dies. they are already killing the new born.... in the UK they would not let the parents take their son out of the hospital nor out of the country, for treatment.... they let him die. that is what the dems have planned.... don’t kid yourselves.. they have NOTHING good in mind for any of us.
On taxes, they will take at least 80% and think they are being fair.... for every dollar you make, they take 80 of it.. leaving you 20 cents.
On morals, the Bible will be gone and our kids will be taught how to do all kinds of forbidden, in school... the government will own your children and your home... you will have to ask for permission to do anything... and gov takes forever to do paperwork.
Here we have a President Trump and he is giving us a good economy and a good life again... he is being tried and found guilty of NOTHING... just to get him out so the dems can do the above things to us dumb and helpless voters out here.

Please make sense of any of this.. it should not even be allowed by the evil that penetrates our government and their beliefs that socialism is better than a free United States.... how ever did the dumb manage this... acquiescence of course... this war had better be fought with every ounce of our hide.

if the dems are going illegal and corrupt.. it’s time for
Trump to use that pen and make some rules that fit the situation.. timidity won’t work... across the aisle won’t work. these people are out of their minds and the love of this country is long gone.... it’s POWER they want.. to control us and remove our protection .... they are way over the hill and into the pit.. treat them likewise..

The House investigates things all the time, just like the Senate does. In the case of impeachment, the house conducts investigatory hearings in order to decide whether to impeach. If that happens then it goes to the Senate for a trial, not an investigation.
