Folks, I listen to Rush and he does a very good job of getting information out. Does he make a mistake once in a while? He’s human. I’d expect him to.
There are times when he’s too friendly with the GOPe/RNC types. I’ll grant you that, but if you toss this guy, you’ve lost an incredibly ally. Why would you possibly want to talk him down?
He pounds home our beliefs day after day after day for over 30 years now.
He’s supported Reagan and Trump. His support for Trump and explaining the situations to people has been excellent. A lot of people got information on the Steel Dosier and now this idiotic Ukrainian phone call, from Trump.
“He reads stories...” I mean that’s just juvenile. He reads parts of articles, picks them appart, or reinforces them.
Your attitudes show through more than reason does.
The hyperbole he uses is showmanship. It adds color to the program. That’s what entertainers do, and Rush has to be part entertainer.
He makes corrections on the show too. He’s not as full of himself as you might think.
You don’t influence people by going on a show and acting timid for three hours a day.
He’s doing something right. 30 years and still around 20 million listeners, plus he has been adding new listener numbers for the last year.
Not bad for a guy you both seem to have so little respect for.
Limbaugh has been a trailblazing conservative superstar. I listen to him a lot. But if you read discussions here about all the talk show hosts, you’ll see that some folks just adore them, others have some complaints. Hannity is a clear example where a lot of us, as consumers, complain. To such an extent that Hannity once unfairly attacked Free Republic on air as an extremist website.
But I still listen to Hannity as much as I can stand.
Ive been listening to talk radio for about 6 decades and I have my critiques. No big offense intended.
If I have one overriding complaint about all of them, they exist in an internet world where most of us know the news long before they come on the air. But they ALL act like they’re the ones revealing the news each day. That’s why it’s become difficult to follow Rush, Tucker, Sean and Laura all in a row.
My example of a far more intelligent conservative spokesman is Dennis Praeger. But I still find myself listening to Rush. IMHO Rush is not as good as he used to be.
