The president is the head of the executive branch. There is plenty of evidence against the Bidens and what they did in Ukraine.
The chief executive should certainly ask if Ukraine has any information on the matter.

I agree. The only way it it inappropriate is If you are a swamp creature who aspires to set your kid up with deals like the Bidens made. To everybody else it is obviously a corrupt series of events which needs to be fully investigated.
President Trump is asking the right questions to protect this country...the Biden's are also guilty of money laundering....VP Biden bragged about his threats to the Ukraine.
