Because the mission is two-fold - 1) damage, if not get rid of Trump AND 2) damage Biden to give them a way to get him out of the Democratic list of candidates. They have realized Biden is making a fool of himself, and thatit is going to get worse. The sooner they can get Biden out of the way, the better (in their opinion).

One other reason for a push to impeach is that Dems will bank on Repubs opening up the GOP nomination for President, thinking that they will not support an impeached President for re-election.
As everyone keeps asking: Impeach him for WHAT exactly. There was nothing in that phone call and while the media can spin anything they want day to day if we get an actual floor vote there is going to have to be evidence and firm understandable charges that even the lowest common denominator of American citizen can undestand. They are not going to have anything to offer as a reason once the low info voters go looking for why he is being impeached... which at the end of the process they will as it will be a worldwide spectacle. This is political suicide.

The Rats are following the original script put in place 3 years ago to get rid of Trump. Only they can’t seem to comprehend the key element of their plan, the Mueller probe, came up empty. They’re moving on to the impeachment step, without a crime. But why not.
