A Whole New Ballgame: How Trump’s First Time Judges are Unlike Anything We’ve Seen Before

The President is transforming the federal courts in a flurry unlike anything we’ve seen in the past. Since he began his tenure in office, President Trump made revamping the courts a top priority. Even before elected he made this one of his most prominent campaign pledges. This started with his promise to fill Justice Scalia’s seat on the Supreme Court at the commencement of his presidency and has continued at a rapid pace ever since.

While this process began at the Supreme Court it surely has not lasted there. The federal courts of appeals and federal district courts have also seen practically complete overhauls. This process has taken the country by storm and does not show any signs of relenting. Trump recently tweeted that he placed 160 judges on the bench and was aiming towards 200. This group is relatively socio-demographically homogeneous, but many democrats’ biggest concerns stem from the homogeneity of their jurisprudence.

Well here's one Asian carp who slipped through the gill nets...Judgette Amy St, Eve, 7th circuit court of appeals. Might as well have been an Obama appointment.

Yes, an interesting article. Trump is doing a great job by concentrating on the Circuit Appeals courts, rather than just the district courts.

Confirmed 91-0!

Have any Republicans explained why they voted for a judge who received unanimous support from Democrat Senators?

Donald Trump's appointments to the courts are diversity. With the possible exception of Judge St. Eve, the president has moved to redress an imbalance in diversity, generated by leftist and Rino presidents.

Since before Roe V Wade the Supreme and inferior courts have come out of the closet and can no longer be charitably described as nonpolitical instruments of jurisprudence, to the contrary they have become anti-democratic instruments of social control. The point is hardly debatable anymore.

Given that reality, how can any Republican senator vote for any Democrat nominee?

Re: Trump’s First Time Judges are Unlike Anything We’ve Seen Before

Not after you check the math.

105 - Confirmed District Judges
31 - By Voice Vote
26 - Received at least 30 Democrat votes

In other words - 57% of Trump's confirmed District judges received at least 30 Democrat votes.

43 - Confirmed Circuit Judges
8 - Received at least 20 Democrat votes
1 - Received 27 Republican “NO” votes

The only good thing I can say about Trump's Circuit Court judges is that 80% of them might be better than Hillary Clinton's judges.

Error Correction...

I should have written “54%” of Trump’s District judges received at least 30 Democrat votes.
