This does seem crazy.
Nancy is the speaker of the House, the most powerful Democrat in the House. It strains believability, that impeachment efforts , committee hearings etc, are allowed to happen without her consent, without her implicit approval of those proceedings taking place.
So are we to believe that Speaker Pelosi had no control over her Democrat committee chairmen????
I think this is more of a case where different groups who make up the Democrats in the House....are marginally convinced to bring her back in as House Speaker. If you were to go to someone else....who, and can you find enough votes among the groups to get that individual into the speaker seat?
The new and more hardcore folks want someone even more harsh than Nancy. The Democrats who are barely winning in southern states....absolutely don’t want any hardcore replacement.
She is letting the progressive freak prance and posture.
She just doesn’t want another floor vote.

Whoever else she might put in that chair might be more to the impeachment side than Nadler. Her party overwhelmingly “favors” impeachment. They know it’s stupid, but the Dem party base wants it, so they’re relying on Pelosi to keep them from doing it.
Pelosi has zero control over her radical maniac freshmen let alone an old fossil like Nadler.
