When I am 25, I would like to live in an apartment in a city, own a pet beagle and spend copious amounts of time in coffee shops and used book stores. By this time, I’d also like to be closer to my dream of running for public office. But, most importantly, by the time I’m 25, I hope that the climate crisis hasn’t killed me.

Sorry, honey. At 25 you will likely be scraping by to make ends meet, with no prospects for a relationship, and bitterly trolling Internet forums to blame others for your failings. And living in California, your oppressive Democrat government will likely not give you permission to own a dog, and to tax you so heavily that you won’t be able to afford coffee, much less transportation, so you will have to hitchhike to leave the state as a refugee.
Your government owned gray concrete apartment will only have power and running water for one hour a day, and your food will be rationed to you enough for one vegetarian meal a day.
...and her greatest goal in life is to work for the government, sucking all productive people dry and creating nothing.

When I was 13 I would have loved to join the Global Climate Strike too. Or convincingly said I was. The hit up a gas station for snacks, steal some of Dad’s beer, and spent the day with friends being up to no good.
How many cities in China and India are joining the protest?
If she succeeds in getting rid of fossil fuels, Future Beagle will be on her dinner plate and she will be thankful for the protein.
