Sen. Kamala Harris' debate performance on Thursday fails to impress many of her party's big money donors and fails to win over some financiers who were on the fence about her candidacy... One source said Friday they had been having trouble persuading their donors to back her candidacy before the debate. The negative opinion didn't change after the debate. "I don't think anything has changed, and it's been grim," this person said.

Dems are down to Biden, Warren, Sanders, Hillary and Michelle.
But, we may still see her mount the podium at the convention, as someone’s VP nominee.
Heck most of those Democrats on that stage don’t really expect to be the nominee, but are hoping to be fingered as the VP running mate.
Translation: The DNC is telling donors she’s not the one. Warren must be, then, because it must be either female or “of color”. Pale males need not apply.

I meant to add, as a black woman, identifying as a black American woman, in spite of her Indian and Jamaican ancestry, she would check off some boxes on the diversity ticket, assuming the eventual nominee is a white man.
However, her being from California could actually work against her in that regard, because California is in the bag for the Democrats in 2020. Someone such as Stacy Abrams, a black woman from a state which Democrats hope to tip from Republican to Democrat, could be the one they pick as the black woman running mate, assuming they need a woman, and/or an African-American on the ticket.

True enough. I heard Corey Booker say, that he would not want to be Joe Biden’s running mate, because he said we can’t have two men on a presidential ticket.
So that makes one wonder, in the Democrat drive for diversity, that if a white heterosexual male is the nominee, then a female, preferably of minority status, is in line to be the VP nominee.
I’ve heard people say, that the Kerry-Edwards ticket of 2004, is probably going to be the last Democrat ticket with two white heterosexual men on it.
Forget Bernie. Bernie is the old guy who lives in the corner house on the block and who keeps yelling at the kids to get off his lawn.
Perhaps when they heard of her plan to spend $2 trillion on the HBC’s the donors realized what a whack job she is.
