This is a re-connect for us-I’ve known him since I was in college-he had buddies to hang out with both from work and otherwise, like any regular person and was still okay like that when we got together back around 1990 when we both had our 20+ year marriages crash-but my hubby went off with a very young woman and his old lady found an older guy with money, so we weren’t emotionally healthy-he was inclined to have friends with benefits, so I declined to renew the relationship-I’m not into being a harem member...
After I married MrT5, I heard from mutual acquaintances that this guy had quit hanging with friends, got into a self help group, married and split up multiple times, shacked up with women from the group, etc. He came around after MrT5 died, and spent several months convincing me he was back to emotional health and we should be a pair-I bought in, so we’ll see what happens-it won’t work unless he loses the ego-support group-that s*** is for kids and snowflakes...

Well, there are exceptions.

I tell the young guys I work with:
Go find a woman that hates your guts.
Buy her a car and a house.
Give her half your paycheck for the next 20 years.
I’m not implying anything.
I’m actually stating that there are women who get degrees through sex acts or monies paid to instructors/professors.

Tons of guys who love to be serious with a woman who is also pilot.
Especially guys who love flying themselves and see women who do more than just tolerate aviation as catching a unicorn or finding the holy grail.
Must confess that the flaw in the logic of this option is that you would actually have to date other pilots, but I’m pretty sure there are enough male pilots out there that you should be able to find several who actually are God’s gift to women - as opposed to the majority who are just being of the opinion that they are God’s gift to women.
Seriously, most guys who fly have a tough time finding a girl who is even willing to hop in an airplane, much less one who actually enjoys it.
Besides, any guy who is a pilot and wants kids bad enough can adjust his schedule to take care of them while you are in the air

Lose half your stuff, and 90% of the time you can spend with your kids, and she'll bad mouth you when she has them, and even if you're paying alimony and $2200 a month in child support, she'll dress your son in rags, and you are not even allowed to question where any of the child support goes. (She did get a nice brand new Subaru, though...)
At least that's been my experience.
Oh, and she dumped all my son's stuff in the driveway when he turned 18 and the child support went away.
For some reason, I'm rather reluctant to remarry.
