I don’t see myself buying incandescents again. I’m slowing replacing the last of my CFLs with LEDs. Some early LEDs (candelabra base) are getting replaced with new ones that look like they have filaments.

I never purchased LED's since they look like crap in whatever fixture you place them in.

The government had no business telling me what kind of bulbs to purchase and that goes with the low volume toilets too.........

Yeah, buying bulbs used to be a regular occurrence. Now I don't remember the last time I changed one other than the halogens under the kitchen cabinets. Which is why the lightbulb manufacturers pushed for this.

I like LEDs and most of my house has them. I opted for bulb life and energy savings by choice and not by mandate. I do not want government telling me I can not buy an incandescent light if I want it. I do have a few, but not many. As my CFL lights die they are replaced by LEDs. Wife person insists on incandescent on her makeup mirror. My bedside lamp is also incandescent. Everything else is LEDs or CFLs.

Same with me.

I replaced most incandescents with CFLs about 15 years ago. The CFLs cost about $3.00 each. About 5 years ago, I had to replace one in a lamp that is on constantly.

Just recently I had to replace the CFL in my main living room lamp. I bought my first LED for that replacement. It cost $1.50. So far, I like it. Its project lifespan is about 9 years.
