The court of public opinion is on the side of a border wall. The military is supposed to defend the nation so I see no real downside to our liberty, just an upside.
Give me a red pen and line item veto power over military contracts and I can find you 100,000,000 dollars in two weeks. I’d get rid of all the insane environmental requirements like you can’t use cad plated connectors so you have to custom make parts that are off the shelf. I’d do away with the crazy set-asides and the gay and lesbian “outreach” programs. And, don’t get me started on buying obsolete cr@p just to send money to somebody’s district.
I suspect what we will find is that most of the programs being cut are no more than pork with which the Democrats have saturated the budget. This year and every year - and not just Democrats.

Nancy and Schumer didn’t get their “cut” of the pork pie this time and they are pissed.
The bitch is so rich she could fund a lot of the wall and Schumer is no slouch in the dollars department. Believe me, he doesn’t live in rent-control, subsidized housing in NY City. He’s a whole adult life NY politician which means he’s as dirty as they come.

Simple solution Nancy, have congress authorize $3.6 billion for the military projects.
Because, you know, the democrats care so deeply about our military as evidenced by their constant cuts to the budget when they are in charge.
They didn’t seem to mind spending trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan to fight whatever it is we fought for.
