“The View” host Joy Behar offered some insight on Tuesday into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s thinking ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
While Pelosi, D-Calif., has publicly praised the 2020 field, Behar said the top Democrat appeared to lean towards a moderate candidate when the two talked during a cocktail party.
After “The View” showed a picture of Pelosi with her arm around Behar, Behar said she inferred that the speaker wanted someone like former Vice President Joe Biden to take on President Trump.
“I infer that she believes that a moderate has a better chance of beating him than the more radical candidates… she pointed out that in the midterms, it’s the moderates who beat the Republicans in those Trump states,” Behar said.

Normally what happens is the Democratic candidate channels Marx to get the nomination, and then he/she/it/ze channels FDR or, even, Truman to win the main election. But this time, to even get heard by the engaged LEFT, they all had to explore new territory that had never been trod in a primary before. Since practically every moment of their lives was videoed, including their teeth cleanings and intimate moments with a beer they apparently had never opened before, that it will be difficult to walk back all the craziness for the general election. I foresee that most GOP commercials will consist of a few choice cuts from the Democrat’s speeches followed by the graphic “Really?”
If they want a balanced ticket they will have to find two. A monumental task.
A vote for ANY Democrat at ANY level of government is a vote AGAINST America!
Every one of us on this forum needs to commit as much time, treasure and talent as we possibly can to ensure that Donald J. Trump is re-elected, that Republicans maintain control of the Senate and that Republicans regain control of the House!
The 2020 election is our fork in the road - if we go left and don't re-elect President Trump, the USA is done for!
