Rep. Devin Nunes called the Justice Department inspector general's report on former FBI Director James Comey a "building block" for a criminal referral he delivered to the agency.
"For a long time I have been very hesitant to get too far out in front on the IG's capabilities. I believe what today is, is another example it's a building block. It's important information," the California Republican said Thursday evening on Fox News.
Specifically, he said, Horowitz's findings contain "very important pieces of evidence that would build into the conspiracy complaint that we have sent to the Department of Justice."
Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, appeared on Sean Hannity's show, along with fellow Reps. Mark Meadows and John Ratcliffe, to react to Inspector General Michael Horowitz's 83-page scathing report on Comey released earlier in the day.

You seem determined to establish the idea that powerful govt bureaucrats can overthrow our Constitutional form of govt in a coup - if they are clever - without any recourse under law. I am just as determined to establish the concept that if you are correct then the Republic is finished.
These sort of people will continue to try - have continued to try - until they succeed, and then you seem to imply that the people must rise up in revolt. That sounds like a formula for disaster; and even if the people should be successful, the bureaucrats need only bide their time and try once again.
Boy! Were our founding fathers ever stupid. They couldn't even establish a legal reason for the Republic to survive a coup attempt, so it would seem.
There is also a proof problem. How would the prosecutor prove that the people were fooled? Many weren't. Trump was elected, after all. No harm, no foul, etc.
What do you call it when the government overthrows the people?
On your DACA argument, that didn't fly when Trump tried to undo DACA. The court said Trump could not undo DACA for existing applicants.
That path was set in the 1910's, and I agree. The government is so far out of constitutional bounds that as far as I am concerned, it long ago breached the deal.
The tension between the ruled and the rulers is part of the human condition. It has always gone on, and will persist until humanity is finally judged by the almighty.
Franklin, I don't know if he's technically one of the founding fathers but i think he is, said "if you can keep it." They knew more about the way things work than our dumbed-down populace does.
Jefferson said that liberty depends on periodic revolt.
looks like fisa court was deceived and its purpose of requiring spy warrant affidavits showing probable cause was defeated by a conspiracy...imho.
daca going to supreme court..obama was not charged with a crime of aiding illegal entry and he usurped the legislative laws by executive order..could he make an executive order that kidnapping is legal in some circumstances, ? methinks not...separation of powers.
On the DACA matter, there is a difference between rejecting the policy and finding POTUS a criminal for implementing the policy. Executive has "discretion" in law enforcement.
I personally find DACA to have been an abomination, and it, like sanctuary city policies, would be illegal if anybody but the government did it.
True... you have made your case well. Certainly since Woodrow Wilson the federal govt has been drifting further and further from the American people. The people have sacrificed to keep the Republic going - in wars and in depression. Today There is a class of people who do not think that they need to sacrifice, that it is up to others to do that at the direction of the elite.
A few years ago 30 million Egyptians took to the streets to throw off a yoke being imposed by the Muslim Brotherhood. I wonder if Americans today have that sort of determination - certainly some do.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. - Thomas Jefferson.
