That path was set in the 1910's, and I agree. The government is so far out of constitutional bounds that as far as I am concerned, it long ago breached the deal.

True... you have made your case well. Certainly since Woodrow Wilson the federal govt has been drifting further and further from the American people. The people have sacrificed to keep the Republic going - in wars and in depression. Today There is a class of people who do not think that they need to sacrifice, that it is up to others to do that at the direction of the elite.
A few years ago 30 million Egyptians took to the streets to throw off a yoke being imposed by the Muslim Brotherhood. I wonder if Americans today have that sort of determination - certainly some do.
