She was walking with her Dad on the Embarcadero with her arm on his arm. It was a cool summer evening.. Suddenly she was hit by the bullets and slumped, bleeding profusely, she cried “Dad please help me”. Those were her last words.
Beyond heartbreaking.
After many months passed, giving time for grieving, I sent a message to someone close to the family and urged them to sue the SF Board of Supervisors (city council) for failing to enforce immigration laws.
Weeks later, I read the father was considering doing that but one of the board members came forward and was apologizing without stop. No lawsuit was ever filed.
But then Candidate Trump picked up this heartbreaking story and combined it with so many others to draw attention to the devastation that families were being put through all because of a lack of will to enforce immigration law and to secure the border.
Kate’s legacy can be said to have galvanized America to get serious about its borders.
Gun law prosecutions are a joke if killer Mexicans are going to get a free pass.

As if the appeals court judges think a jury shouldn’t be expected to pay attention during the trial, so they wouldn’t be aware of the defense’s defenses. LOL
Honestly, this makes me furious.
It’s not the kind of fury that causes me to arm up and take this matter into my own hands, but this is just about as outrageous as it gets.
I’ll stop now, because about 90% of what follows would be expletives to the max humanly possible.

If the sane folks eschew being Jurists, then the idiots always prevail...I was on a jury where, if I hadn’t cajoled and reminded them that we had taken an oath, and that none of them doubted that the perp was guilty, so per our oath, we had to find him guilty...they were all upset about maybe inconveniencing the thug...
Once we read the verdict, the DA grinned and told us that rules kept them from using it, but the perp was on the lam from a similar incident in another state...he almost killed someone up there and left a guy down here with severe brain damage...
