We retired and moved from Miami to Tennessee last December. We had 18 storms under our belts including Andrew and just couldn't face another season. Feeling so BLESSED that we chose to do so, now.

I arrived two weeks after Hurricane Andrew struck Miami, just as the power came back on!
My neighborhood rotated cookout duties all that time, bringing neighbors even closer together. Afterwards, I was amazed at the amount of insurance fraud, and wasn’t surprised that State Farm Insurance abandoned Florida shortly afterwards.
