Hurricane Dorian battered St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and brushing Puerto Rico. Taking aim at the Florida Atlantic Coastline, Hurricane Dorian is projected to be a major hurricane (Category 3) at landfall.

Yes, projected track seems to have trended southwards. Orlando radio this morning still calls for the storm to turn North and travel up the peninsula as a major rain event - maybe 15 inches!
***Hope you are feeling well***
Yes, thank you - and good morning. Now mostly the symptoms of the elderly. ;^) I pray you are well.

That would be Palm Beach/West Palm Beach
btw--Martin Co. is directly under the "M" on the cone of doom for Tuesday landfall in the 0800 forecast map. Last time, we painfully evacuated them over here to the Gulf Coast, and Irma ended up over here. Go figure.
Which is where Mar a Lago is. And won't that make the liberals happy?
Isn’t the Kennedy Compound there, too?
Im in st Lucie county too. This is my home and people who dont live in the area that make remarks like that just chaps my butt! We are looking at a very very bad time here. Doesnt matter where this thing makes landfall.
Former Kennedy compound. It was sold in 2015.
I am in Port St. Lucie. I just went to Winn-Dixie and they brought out four pallets of water. They were gone within minutes. The stores are really trying but as soon as any water comes in its gone. Every store.
The bread guy was restocking some of the shelves this morning but that will be gone in a flash as well
Our storm chaser left at 6:30 this morning and PECO left yesterday.Help is coming.Batten down everyone.Prayers
Yep, Orlando media still has a track to Melbourne.
My family in east Orlando will evacuate if Dorian is a direct hit on Brevard County
...but stay put if it comes in around Port St.Lucie and crawls up the state.
I guess that sounds reasonable.....( still trying not to worry)
PS......If Scott was still Governor I think he would have called for evacuations by now........however I keep hearing how this storm could be a slow crawl.
So why not just save some water from the faucet BEFORE the storm comes?
Just south of you in Hobe Sound. We were finally able to gas up the truck this morning at the speedway on US1/Indian.
Thank you for your update!
Wonderful local update! Thanks for checking in. Please continue to provide updates when you are able.
My son is in Boca. Unfortunately he has to work all weekend so he cant gas up his truck and park it. He will need to continue to find gas. Sounds like that may be a task.
I gassed up yesterday at wawa in tradition. They actually had employees directing people to pumps and it was all very orderly and so appreciated! It was not the free-for-all that you see at other gas stations.
I thanked those employees profusely!
I will! Between boarding up my mom and helping various neighbors do the same, were gonna be quite busy the next few days!
Thank you for your tireless hurricane work! Always jump on your threads! Much appreciated!
