Publix is the BEST! I saw the tillamook but got the bogo klondike;) Next time!

What part of the state are you? I’m in Seminole County. Been doing these hurricanes with NautiNurse since Charlie!

Rod!!! Just thinking about you, have the Keys recovered? This looks to be a good’un. But...never panic.

Hope your Publix guy listened to you!

It appears to be a tug of war between systems but
Vero and Fort Pierce are now dead center of the tracking .

Not sure where that is without looking it up but if you live in Florida, you will experience hurricanes.

It's in Hawthorn. They've lived in FL all their lives so it's just life for them.

We are still rebuiliding down here in the Keys from the last storm. Big Pine Key especially is a disaster area.Add in no more building permits down here after 2022 and you have a true cluster.

THe Lower Keys are still rebuilding even some places in Marathon which were all hit hard,Big Pine was the worst with some places with ten feet of water or more.

I just spent about 45 minutes on Tropical Tidbits running all the computer simulations and they have it coming in everywhere from Cocoa Beach to Jacksonville/Savanah.

It is moving slow (like Rodguy points out) and we are still so far off timewise that it will be another 36 hours before we have any sort of reliable models, IMHO

I’m in NW Hillsborough county, near RT 54. I’m about 16 miles from the GOM. I live on a swamp, my own private ‘nature preserve’. I really like it except for when the water table comes up and mosquitoes. We have old ‘80s power lines around here that go down with every wind blow. So the generator will be used starting Monday. I measure cutover time in the amount of time it takes to brew the first pot of coffee once I’ve manually switched over to the generator.

Had a good friend of mine that was retired on Big Pine Key who passed away about 20 years ago. His wife may have stayed there for a while but I am sure she was long moved by the time of the storm. Saw some pictures of Cudjoe Key where some big surge came through right where I stayed with my sons New Years 97 — just damn.

Actually 13 knots is pretty quick especially if it gets bigger. The big damages come from hurricanes or even big tropical systems that stall or move 2-4 knots across an area. Those are the ones that do the damage.Especially flooding. A 13 knot storm better be big and packing a wallop #3 or #4 to do much damage. Its in and out of an area in no time and in this case may lose hurricane status as it moves across the state.

Northern PB County. Gas lines and already closed stations. No water that the Publix I went into. Seems like the run for goods is starting early to me.

Agree. Almost all water was gone in every Publix I went to in the Jax area by 3 PM.

Thank you. Appreciate your diligence with these postings. Wife and I left central Florida in April; relocated to south Mississippi. Looks like a good move. Still have family and lots of friends in the path. Prayers for all.

If this storm pushes into the GOM, keep alert!
