And, Democrats are there to steal elections and not to do a job.

I don’t know? I think we are getting real real close to a 2nd CW. Granted I’m kind of old but please let it happen in my day. Granted, I’m a veteran and served but this surely will be of better service to save my country.

The Constitution (Article 2, section 1) is silent on this issue so the selection of the electors is paramount. It would therefore also be constitutional for a state legislature to impose a fidelity to the popular vote oath.

Actually as I remember my CIVICS (from back when they taught it in the 1950s) the electoral college is the last line of defense. They are not bound by anything but their own conscious.

(Of course I am old and I may be wrong but the Courts just confirms what I understood to be the situation)

‘Electoral College members are there to do a job and not steal elections’

true, but what really needs to go is the winner take all system that we have today...but the states can’t be bothered...

Electors choose the President.

Voting by members of the public has nothing to do with it.

I seem to recall that this has already gone up at least once before, and the courts ruled that the electors were free to vote their own decisions.

Yep.

Could start a conflict among the smaller states legislators and public.
That could spread quickly.
