I once attended a Nazi/Klan rally (in an undercover capacity) and suspect that half the attendees (of about 50 or so, were feds or just people interested in seeing what a N-K rally looked like. Very pretty with Nazi flags and Klan flags, robes and hoods, all on two guys.
I was sitting next to a 6’8” pimply faced leather-jacketed something or other and when they started chanting “Kill the Jews”, he nudged me and said, “What do you think”?
I said, “Whatever you want”. This Jewish kid wasn’t about to stand up and sing “Havagillah”. Momma didn’t raise no dummy, no sir re.
The ADL got a lot of good literature the next day as did the House Internal Security Committee.
It was an eye-opener, a step back into the 1930’s Nazi era/KKK period (of Robert Byrd and one of the Supreme Court justices - Black?).

Then I went back down the sidewalk to my car and was attending to my camera without paying much attention to anything else. As I approached the Nazi group, having been recently in the military myself, I unconsciously fell in step behind the skinheads.
Guess who the TV news cameras trained on? I saw myself on the TV news that night, looking like the official Nazi photog.
