WASHINGTON — Under intense pressure to take action on gun safety in the wake of two weekend massacres, Senator Mitch McConnell, the majority leader, expressed a new willingness Thursday to consider a measure expanding background checks for all gun purchasers, saying it will be “front and center” in a coming Senate debate on how to respond to gun violence.
“There is a lot of support for that,” he said.

Hunting can go two directions and when enough hunters don't make it home, it would quickly stop.
This can get ugly real fast. What is to stop them from looking at everyone’s records? Say you got arrested as a teen for pot 40 years ago, are they going to take any firearms you own because of past “drug” use?
Or alcohol arrest as a minor?
Ex wife falsely accuse you of something 50years ago?

McConnell is a never Trumper. Always has been, always will. If losing the Senate is the only way to get rid of President Trump then that is what asshole McConnell will do. WAKE UP!

If all but one American voluntarily gave up his guns, the Constitution requires that the government ensure the protection of that right for the 1 remaining citizen gun owner. America seems to be “led” by people who do not understand this at best get caught up in the moment of grieving. Justice however requires that our government is not to punish or take away the rights of the law abiding because of the criminals. America (the left) does not want to discuss the root causes of what is happening because it will lead to the culture, directly to their hostile, anti-Judeo/Christian culture, which permeates the media and large segments of our society. We cannot avoid the fight if we are to stop this march to serfdom.
There are statistics on everything. What is the statistic by voter party on this topic? That figure would be suppressed, of course.

There is one of races of people shot by law enforcement officers (majority each year are whites).

The problem with “background checks”:
The Rats’ obviously conflate mental illness and a proclivity toward violence with being a Republican. This will be another tool for political suppression, just as the Founding Fathers predicted.
So, Trump and Mitch are gaming the Dems.

So, GOP is in the clear for having proposed action the NRA hates and the Libs shout it down as being insufficient.

The Libs would never stand for the real fix of introducing God back into the culture or holding minors accountable for violence and serious mental health issues.
Will violent street criminals bother to do this? NO. They buy guns from criminals who don’t obey the law.
In some states people can sell one another guns privately without doing a background check. Families can sell or give guns to family members without a background check. This is what some folks are asking for is to have a universal background check to eliminate private sell, family transfer,sell, etc.
Should mean, holding minors accountable for violence and serious mental health issues.
But Libs won't stand for that.
I think there should be deep background checks required on all reporters before they are allowed on the air ways.
