Judicial Watch: New Docs Show FBI Agents Went to Comey's Home to Retrieve Memos

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today it received six pages of records from the FBI showing that in June, 2017, a month after FBI Director James Comey was fired by President Donald Trump, FBI agents visited his home and collected “as evidence” four memos that allegedly detail conversations he had with President Trump. One of his memos was written on June 6, a month after he was fired.

Comey was fired by Trump on May 9, 2017. The memos obtained by Judicial Watch were collected from Comey by the FBI on June 7, a month later, and are dated February 14 [or 4?], 2017; March 30, 2017; April 11, 2017; and one is dated “last night at 6:30 pm.”

FEBRUARY 14, 2017 : () Today, Pelosi and Cummings held a joint press conference, during which Cummings intoned: Madame Leader, just this morning, Flynn tweeted that he is a ‘scapegoat.’ I believe we need to hold a public hearing with Flynn to get to the bottom of this.
Later in the day, Pelosi herself called out Flynn for the tweet.
But Flynn didn’t tweet that he is a “scapegoat.” The tweet Cummings and Pelosi cited was from a fake account.
The tweet came from the account “@GenMikeFlynn.” However, as Kyle Feldscher of the Washington Examiner points out, that’s not Flynn’s Twitter account. He had previously tweeted from @GenFlynn, which was deleted last month.
Eager to leverage the Flynn affair into something more broad and more damning, the two Democrats and their staffers apparently failed to notice the difference. APRIL 11, 2017 : () ...On April 11, 2017, The Washington Post broke a story titled “FBI Obtained FISA warrant to monitor former Trump advisor Carter Page,” which contained detailed information that the FBI had obtained a secret court order to monitor Page, a short-term Trump campaign volunteer, in October 2016.
The story, written by Ellen Nakashima, Devlin Barrett and Adam Entous referred to unnamed U.S. law enforcement and other U.S. officials who told The Washington Post that the FBI and Department of Justice obtained the warrant on Page after “convincing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance court judge that there was probable cause to believe Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power.”
However, in April 2017, former FBI Director James Comey had signed the third renewal on Page, according to reports.
