China is getting stronger, and stronger, and stronger, due to our MASSIVE trade deficit with them.

Mr. President, enact serious trade barriers.

Now.

I don’t know what they were thinking in Hong Kong, but they should have known that this was not going to end well, not with China.

A complete Chinese takeover of Hong Kong was always inevitable. It made sense for the PRC to let Hong Kong have some semblance of semi-autonomy to keep foreign investments coming in, but that was decades ago. In 2019, the PRC knows that money will come in regardless of what they do to the people of Tibet or to their own people in Tiananmen Square, let alone Hong Kong. All we will do is “closely monitor” - at least this time we won’t have the pathetic spectacle of Brent Scowcroft flying in to raise a glass to the dictators.

“The reason for the buildup, which includes the Chinese military or armed police, was not clear “

Duh. Not clear to whom? It’s clear to anyone with any knowledge of what’s been going on.

We need to let Japan have her vicious Military back. We could start by gifting Japan one of our Gerald Ford Aircraft carrier strike forces. Just let Japan have steep discounts on all of our military gear. Better to let the Japanese have control of Asia. Atleast they could balance out China for us

I’m only surprised it took 20 years to get to this point. I figured a bloody crack down would have already happened by now.

ChiComs are trying to incite violence.

Then tell their puppet, Lam, to request PLA troops.

ChiComs are scared.

We should never have engaged China beginning with Nixon. All we’ve done is built them up at the world’s expense. Regarding Hong Kong, NOT OUR PROBLEM AND NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. The UK gave it back in the 90s, abandoned it to China. Surprised it has taken this long for them take what appears to be direct action on the area that is rightfully part of China.

What can we do? Well, what concerns us is the millions of Chinese in the US. Begin with the students, SEND THEM HOME. All of them. Second, kick all Chinese out of sensitive roles where they steal our intellectual proprerty and spy on us. Third, close down birthing tourism! Fourth, wean American business and consumers off of Chinese products via tariffs. Starve China.

Trump government’d better not to get involved in China’s sovereignty issue.

If China has to send troops to keep HK in line, that’s weaker not stronger. Like sending troops to keep California in line.

If anything ever broke out with us and China, we better bomb them back to the Stone Age. I would hate to ever go up against their massive army, they have so many people. But if it breaks out, we need to unleash everything on them, starting with a massive missle and bombing campaign. This is existential with them. Rain missles on them from everywhere, bomb them to the Stone Age, and never ever let this happen again.

There is nothing we can do over there.. Since Britain gave Hong Kong back to China. It is all over but the shouting.. It’s their territory.. Are they breaking some rule? China I mean?

Within a month it will be Tianamen Sq all over again. Adios to any freedom that used to exist in Hong Kong.

Chicoms will tolerate no dissent. And no country will oppose them due to their nukes and economic might.

At least Trump has cut off their ability to print money - when China economy slows they will be unable to keep ghost factories and banks alive and many people will lose jobs and savings. Then we will see how many the Chicoms are willing to kill to stay in power.

P.S. Now you know why HK money has been buying up Vancouver, London, California real estate. They knew this was inevitable...

The Hong Kong stock market doesn’t seem to be too worried, although property prices have fallen quite a bit recently, and many businesses are moving their banking to Singapore.

“Too late” will come sometime in the near future, but there doesn’t seem to be much panic going on just yet.

As for the Chicom military massing on the border, they have already sent in troops disguised as police to patrol the protests.
