How is it blasphemous to point out that Scripture itself points to the need for a divinely-authorized teacher to properly interpret them? Did not Peter condemn private interpretation? Why should one trust your interpretation over that of another? If you claim to have inspiration from the Holy Ghost as to your reading of Scripture (despite lacking the ordinary means of Apostolic succession), then what glorious miracle accompanied such an extraordinary happening?

I dare not place myself higher than the Apostles and their legitimate successors, but if you want to take the chance on your own wisdom being sufficient, good luck with that.

really. You want to claim the current bunch of homosexual pedophiles in Rome as successors to the apostles? And by the way where i. scripture do you find apostolic succession as a qualification for ministry?

If you have issues interpreting Holy Scripture, I would suggest taking some reading comprehension classes then.
It says what it means and means what it says.

Read these:

John 6:29
Romans 10:9-10
Acts 16:31

What do they mean to you? Why do Catholics call balderdash on these verses? Why do they add “works” to them?

Anybody can read Scripture for themselves - since you claim you need a ‘higher authority figure’ to interpret it for you in order to understand, I suggest you take it up with the Lord Himself at the Great White Throne Judgement. Good Luck too!

Philippians 2:12

Nope...Don't need interpretatin'...

Many will have the gift of teaching...Not what some interpretation was decided upon eons ago, but teaching the words of God...
And what about the understanding of those words???

2Ti_2:7  Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
1Jn_5:20  And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Col_1:9  For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Col_2:2  That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

Eph 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Luk 24:44  And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Luk 24:45  Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

Those are some of the scriptures that are hard to understand, if you don't study the scriptures...

Did not Peter condemn private interpretation?

Nope...

2Pe 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Peter is talking about biblically ignorant; unlearned people...And those same people trying to expound on the scriptures that they don't know...Like those who pull out 2 Peter 3:16 and throwing it at people they don't agree with when they don't even recognize what the verse says...
