I believe that the image was formed as a result of a Maillard Reaction between decomposition gases and sugars on the cloth.

If the image was formed by Maillard Reaction it's amazing that the image is focused. If the cloth was on the body for too short of a time then the image would not have formed. If the image was on the body for too long, the image would have become saturated/over exposed and also the cloth would have been damaged.

So, even with the image being formed via a natural process, does it make it less miraculous? The cloth would have to have been removed from the body at exactly the right time to have a clear image form. Did the people at that time know about this process? Did they intentionally separate the body from the cloth at exactly the right time? Or, did the resurrection actually occur, separating the cloth from the body and leaving the image?

I believe that the image WAS formed by a natural process, but I also believe it's formation was miraculous.
