Why the Left So Despises Donald Trump

Like many others, I have for some time been trying to understand Trump Derangement Syndrome, the phenomenon of otherwise reasonable people reacting irrationally to some peculiar quality of the president, a quality especially in evidence when he is in the presence of his supporters.

Some of it is easy enough to comprehend. Unlike any president since at least Jackson, Mr. Trump was elected by attacking the entire political class from right to left and practically all leaders of both parties and the parties themselves. He managed to stir up enough discontent to win the nomination of one of the parties and then got just enough votes in the right places to win the election.

Since Mr. Trump had opposed everyone in both parties, they all opposed him, and the Republicans, almost as much as the Democrats, wanted to get rid of him. If there had been any truth at all to the gigantic fatuity about Trump-campaign collusion with Russia, there would have been bipartisan enthusiasm and relief in throwing him out of the White House like a large dead mouse.

Mr. Trump was not only the first president who had never sought or held a public office, elected or unelected, or a military position. He also had no knowledge of the official procedures and attitudes in the upper approaches to the presidency. As he had changed parties seven times in 13 years looking for his chance to try the novel theory of turning celebrity, and often rather crass celebrity, into electability, and had countered press skepticism with social-media direct contact with the people, supplemented by support on the talk-radio circuit, which generally enlists the attention of a lower-middle- and working-class demographic, he had no cadre of political loyalists to assist him.

“The only problem we face as a nation is what happens post-Trump era?”

That’s a great question, FRiend.

My answer is that the slide to socialism will continue unless we have a cadre of leaders willing to resort to extra-Constitutional means to suppress the political Left.

Pelosi, Schumer and the other traitors are experts at hiding their subversion behind the Bill of Rights, even while working tirelessly to render those same rights null and void for anyone except the Socialist elite.

The only answer, as I see it, will be a swift and merciless decapitation strike against the Left.

I can only hope DJT is planning the same after his reelection next year. If he is defeated it will only by election fraud in Pa., Wis., Mich. — in which case, a decapitation strike against the Left should also be triggered.

The entire DNC leadership must end up in Gitmo for the rest of their miserable lives.

I disagree with Conrad's premise. It assumes the Dems have not changed in all these year, but that is definitely not true. The Dems did a number on Bork, but what they did to Kavanaugh was 100 times more vicious. Think of the Alabama Senate race with the Judge, another slime job. The media was in on both these things too.

Not only that but a complete policy change. From being Pro-Marriage under Bill Clinton to Anti-Marriage/Pro Gay under Obama. From being Anti-Illegal Immigrants under Obama to Pro-Illegal/Give them Free Health Insurance/Open Borders/No ICE --- that's quite a change too.

What's happening to the Democrat party is clearly building up to something. They are going ALL IN and it's not American. Socialism is the word they and their Media love and America is being painted racist increasingly day by day.

Apollo 11 is racist? Trump supporters are Racist? It is a whole new level of Invective.

I think the Dems are going "ALL IN" FOR SOCIALISM OR WORSE. The Media is going to get much worse as they are being laid off more and more due to their Fake News and Hyping Dud things like the Mueller congressional hearings these last few days.

The Dems and the Media are "ALL IN" against America. The question is whether the U.S. of A will give in to them or THROW THE RASCALS OUT.

I believe the early instances of Trump Derangement Syndrome were actually ginned up by the outgoing Obama administration as cover for their crimes that are now being discovered.

They had hoped to get the people to turn on Trump and support Democrat's (and Vichy Republicans') attempts to oust him before he can fully expose what they did to try to get Hillary Clinton over the finish line.

They failed, Trump survived and got stronger.

So now the TDS has to be amped up even higher, because the Left is still somewhat successful at covering up the Obama Administration's weaponizing the intelligence agencies against American citizens and Democrat opposition.

Along the way, they get the gullible, uninformed, and weak-minded to join them, only those people's TDS is real, not a strategic behavior.

POTUS is the ultimate salesman/copywriter/closer. He learned by doing and sometimes failing.

The opposition are over-educated bores. They can only write white papers, which they essentially clone, one from the other. They won genetic lotteries and have no comprehension of failure, let alone losing it all.

And they now stand on the cusp of doing just that.

Anyone who has faced down destruction and learned how to win while under a gun to their head has a huge advantage in any adversarial situation.

One caveat: the progs are now the ones with a gun to their head and it could trigger a massive save by one of them. POTUS keeps up the pressure and disorients them just so that won’t happen. He knows the source of his own superpowers and needs to not let them ever reach it for themselves.

Of course they hate him and they hate us because we are his army.

And we’re still winning. Bloody, bruised,and tired, but winning.

All true, Trump has broken the mold of submissive Republican politicians like McCain and Romney who would let the DNC-Media dictate how they should behave. (One time McCain fought back when they claimed his wife was an addict/alchy, he responded by saying he was still waiting for the media to interview Obama’s drug dealers. It silenced them, put their blatant partisanship and hypocrisy on full display but then McCain stopped. He gave Obama a pass on Rev Wright, the black Heinrich Himmler who baptized Obama’s children. He should have sunk Obama with that psychotic racist, who deserved it, but cowardly declined.) Romney sat back while Obama’s campaign adviser Stephanie Cutter spent $27MM on radio ad space calling Romney a murderer, since a Bain company did away with a woman’s health care insurance and she died of cancer. Romney wasn’t even there at the time, it was a blatant lie. He should have called Obama a liar to his face on the debate stage and he would have been justified, but remained silent. He did not fight back. It was very noticeable cowardice. It was something you do not want in a leader.

Trump has none of these cowardly traits. He steps into delicate politically correct situations and he wields a giant sledge hammer. I find it refreshing that he talks back to these arrogant progressive elites and tells them things like ‘Black People - what do you have to lose? Look what the Dems have done for your lives and communities, absolutely nothing.’ That does not go over well. If the Dems lose the minority vote the Democrats may never win another Presidential election. They must attack him as a racist, they must stop the cracks in the dam, if he opens the flood gates it can be the end of their party.

Trump fights back, threatens their perches, and can steal a chunk of their base that makes them unsustainable as a political party. Trump could destroy the Democrats and their socialist agenda. Trump is immune to their attack playbook and they are at wits’ end because they cannot stop him. The more they hate him, the stronger he grows. The more they call him “racist” the more his supporters know the opposite is true. The more they deny and denigrate his followers, the more loyal they become - and the more they realize that Trump is their salvation.

That’s why he is a massive threat. Democrats for years told black people basically ‘to shut up and just vote Democrat or the Republicans will put y’all back in chains’, meanwhile - I hope you enjoy Baltimore. Obama never once campaigned in a black neighborhood. It was an incredible display of arrogance about owning a vote and daring them to vote somewhere else. There is opportunity when your rivals neglect their customers’ needs.

It explains the racist vitriol, because the Dems see their nuclear reactor is leaking badly and they have to stop the meltdown. I have never seen the “Racist” accusation thrown around so much as it has recently, and that is saying something since it is the number one political bludgeon in the DNC arsenal.

Trump will likely win the next election and hopefully the House. His second term could create big change, dismantle the socialist deep state apparatus and then tackle the spending problem. If he has the House and Senate he may be a juggernaut, an unstoppable force that put the courts, the economy, the minorities, the law, immigration, foreign relations, and even the culture - all on a positive track for years to follow. Who will come after Trump? He will have changed the Republican party as a sharp foil to the stupidly leftward drift of the Democrat Party. It will be very interesting how future politicians attempt to carry his torch.
