Suicide attempt or a con beat down.
Manhattan Correctional Facility is a Federal detention center that holds inmates from various security levels. Wikipedia says: "The facility has one female wing; seven General Population male wings, six of which feature cells and one is a dorm; one Special Housing Unit (SHU); and one "supermax" unit. Each unit takes up two stories. All General Population units feature a gym (no weights), a kitchen (microwaves, hot water, ice), and five TV sets (1 in the gym and 4 on the floor). Offices, classes, and computers are located on the unit's second floor."
If he's on suicide watch, he may have been moved to SHU. They wouldn't keep him in GP. His cell would be stripped of anything that could be used to harm himself, and there would be an officer sitting outside his cell, 24 hours a day keeping an eye on him. At least that's the way we covered suicide watch in NY State's prison system. He may or may not be sent out to an outside psychiatric center for evaluation. New York State has it's own secure psychiatric center (Central N.Y. Psychiatric Center) in Marcy, NY. I used to have to pass it every day on my way to work as it's on the same grounds as the prison I worked at. The Feds may have their own secure psychiatric unit either at Manhattan or somewhere else where they send these guys who need evaluation.
Warning to keep his mouth shut, sent via con from rich and powerful swampies in exchange for a carton of Marlboros.
Failed Arkencide
Think Jim McDougal et al
Gotta believe theres a good price on his head for a motivated jailmate.
Will ANYONE be surprised if he is found dead before this EVER goes to trial?
Will anyone be surprised if he death is ruled suicide (even if he has a shiv between his shoulder blades?
I will not.
