Joe Scarborough, former Florida congressman and current host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, tweeted Wednesday during Robert Mueller’s testimony asking Jesus for forgiveness for his past conservative affiliation.
“Jesus, forgive me for ever being a Republican,” Scarborough wrote. Responses flooded in, alternately praising and condemning him — and providing plenty of free commentary during the thick of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Wednesday testimony.
A half hour before, Scarborough lamented Republican conduct during Mueller’s testimony.
“This is just disgusting. The lying, the twisting of the truth, the yelling is just so offensive,” he said.

Joe obviously got this backwards. It is the Republicans that should ask for forgiveness for letting him enter the party.
Joe, you’d better seek forgiveness for all your bad deeds before worrying about media politics.
If I were Joe Scarborough, I’d be asking Jesus’ forgiveness but being a Republican wouldn’t be first on the list of sins...to say the least.

Glad that I got to enjoy mornings with Captain Kangaroo (and Dennis and Mr. Moose and Mr. Greenjeans, et al) when I was a kid in the 1970s. More thoughtful, intelligent fare compared to the slop Scarborough serves up on mornings these days (and yes I know, Bob Keeshan rest in peace was also a Marine).
Lets not be assuming God or Jesus have an interest in either political party right now.
