As an American Mexican, thank God the Spaniards took over. I remember buying a book at the National Museum in Mexico City. The book was about an eye witness account of the savagery of the Aztecs. I remember reading a paragraph that I have not forgotten. It was describing how they cooked a young male child and describe how they made the sauce for it. I stopped and realize how sick the Aztecs were and didn’t bother to finish the book. Still this day I never understood how my gente can praise the Aztecs.

Because they’re not the Anglo!
To this day, there are areas that civilized Mexicans will no go, in southern Mexico, where the Spanish finally just gave up trying to conquer...............
