I have.
I shredded a couple of tires on my van out in the desert.
Limped back into town on the rear rim.
Rim remnant I should say, as it was ground down to about the brake drum before hitting town.
Got a good price on some used tires at the local wrecking yard (with STEEL wheels this time!)
