It's my paraphrase of movie scene dialogue. Sorry I made you trust that I was using the historical record of Patton's words. I have read about 7 or 8 books about Patton,though.
Guys like me on FR quote Caddyshack,Animal House,Airplane and other masterpieces of comedy, and once in a while a Clint Eastwood or Seinfeld one.
Now I found the exact quote in Patton film:
Col.Richard N. Jensen:What are you doing there, soldier? Soldier getting up from floor: Trying to get some sleep, sir.
