Since I dont know the people or the back story, for me the chatter is pretty humorous... but un-PC stuff is career-ending these days... I learned a long time ago that texts and emails can get forwarded to anyone and everyone, including the very person you least want to see it... so even in private texts and letters, measure your words, dont say anything you cant stand behind publicly.
But I also learned that if something you said in private is exposed, the best strategy is to go bold... I said it and Im glad. Apologies at that point are usually pointless, so you may as well go down with all flags flying.
They’ve been tolerating corruption in PR for decades. This is nothing new and the average Puerto Rican knows this.
PuertoRico’s former Secretary of Education Julia Keleher, the former executive director of the island’s Administración de Seguros de Salud & the president of the accounting firm BDO Puerto Rico were all arrested by the FBI... local media is reporting.
Yes. They are always bitching at us anyway. It was a terrible mistake to not give them independence.
Scoop all the residents up, give them citizenship and move them into Northern California ... like an Indian reservation.
Sell the island to Disney, or Steve Wynn. They’ll know what to do with it.
I read the entire Chat.
What a bunch of fools!
Did you read the entire exchange that these guys had during the Miss Universe Pageant? Talking about Miss Vietnam’s bathing suit appearance, one of them says: “She’s got Ho Chi Min there!” — meaning that her ‘vagina’ area looked big.
I mean, disgusting stuff. And the Governor was part of that chat too.
One thing I got out of it is that they’re all “CLOSETED MISSOLOGISTS”! We call anyone who analyzes pageants a “Missologist”. LOL!
for those of us who dont follow Puerto Rican politics and have no plans to ever do so will you tell us what is going on.?
Uhhh.... like this?

“The messages between Rossello and his top aides, published by the Primera Hora newspaper, threaten to further tarnish a government thats been battered by investigations and the collapse into a record-setting bankruptcy two years ago thats left it fighting with investors over its cash.
In one exchange, Rossello refers to the former speaker of the New York City Council, Melissa Mark-Viverito, a political ally of San Juan mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz, a chief Rossello rival, as a whore. In another, the governor wrote Dear Oversight Board Go F-— yourself, referring to the federal panel he has clashed with over the broad financial power it wields over the U.S. territory.
At a press conference Thursday evening, Rossello said he will resist calls for his resignation in the wake of the indictments, saying he was “ashamed” and “outraged” by the alleged misconduct. He also apologized for his texts.
“Women are legitimately offended and there must be many apologies,” he said.
And, of course, they will immediately vote for American candidates who are exactly like the ones who just destroyed Puerto Rico.
We are SO doomed!
Nothing good is going to happen in Puerto Rico until the people go and get the Puerto Rican Politicians, present and past, and throw them in jail.
The same could be said for most Latin American shitholes. The people do not have the collective IQ to see the problem. The country is run be the “progressive mayors group”. A PR politician has no viability without their endorsement. It’s the “free shit army” on steroids.
This is part of a leftist fascist bid to take Puerto Rico on as a state to add more leftist representatives to congress.
And the stupid will fall for this.
Time to end our colonial control and set them, free.
Our money will surely fix that.
Unless PR becomes productive, it will be a failure. I can understand why it is a failure: the island is hot, and not conducive to work. Besides, our money pours into it to prop it up.
Steny’s up from his nap...
Rat infestation is the cause, the two legged kind
