There has been a major power failure in Manhattan, from Midtown, West to the Hudson River. Times Square is dark, no Traffic Lights or Street Lights and West Side Subway service is down. No reports of mayhem...yet.
Ah, Snake Pliskin.
He didn’t want to be there either.
Seriously? What have you been watching all day? Because FOX has been non-stop New Orleans in the afternoon. Im guessing NYC got upset and pulled the plug to get attention.
I remember the first power failure back in 1965. No crimes were committed. Twelve years later, another power failure and massive looting took place. What happened to change a peaceful NYC to a ultra violent city back then?
The first blackout was blamed on UFOS. INCIDENT AT EXETER comes to mind.
I have been telling people about this for years. No one spends money on updating the power grid, fixing 50+ year old watermains, replacing piping that is pre WWI etc. All of these things no on sees until they fail. As they rarely fail politicians cannot do a photo-op standing next to a new substation.
Squirrels chewing on lines???
Agree. They always do this. I remember when JFK Jr’s plane went down, they showed the water for days. It was ridiculous.
ROFL
Sounds like him. DeBalsio did send out a tweet.
Bad car accident at 96th and Broadway. But the traffic lights are working up here. Lights are on, AC is on.
1965 I was caught in subway.
1977 I was in Jersey City.
With this heat wave, I may start taking bus to work so as not to get caught in subway again. My left knee will like it a lot better too. Only problem is it takes an hour and a half each way.
Hope those downstream from here are safe and well.
I’m ticked, too. They are just filling time blabbing without any new info.
Isn’t it awfully coincidental the ‘77 blackout was exactly the same month and day.
NYC hasn’t been hit by a locust swarm of battery powered scooters?
Well
Time
To
Fire up
All
Those solar panels
Common progessives put up
Your shiny glass at midnigtht
A-s hats
Word is that DeCommieo is just south of the Minnesota Border.
People are stuck in elevators, in this heat.
My worst nightmare.
Several Broadway and Off Broadway performances were cancelled. Some of the performers were performing outside.
oh the whining on Twitter. what wimps.
Isn’t it great living in the first of the first-world countries?

I remember listening to him when I was young. Didn’t know he was still around.
