I thought having a “Live” thread would draw more interest and participation than a “discussion” thread. It has a different sort of appeal and purpose. Perhaps Freerepublic can enable us to edit thread titles so that a dated thread could be renamed.
I have noticed that their rainfall projections have gone down significantly as the storm comes inland. The rainfall is what concerns all of us down here. So far, thankfully, we haven't gotten much at all.

First time in history that all NINE flood gates were closed in N.O.
Latest update has it upgraded to Hurricane status. Here in New Iberia, there is very little evidence of it. The winds have actually calmed down a bit and we are still relatively dry.
