Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are set to begin conducting raids of thousands of illegal immigrants across the U.S. beginning Sunday, The New York Times reports, just weeks after President Trump delayed the operation to give Congress time to develop a bipartisan solution to the border crisis.
At least 2,000 immigrants who have already been given deportation orders will be targeted, according to the report, but “collateral” deportations may also occur.
The raids, which will be conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement over multiple days, will include “collateral” deportations, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the preliminary stage of the operation. In those deportations, the authorities might detain immigrants who happened to be on the scene, even though they were not targets of the raids.
When possible, family members who are arrested together will be held in family detention centers in Texas and Pennsylvania. But because of space limitations, some might end up staying in hotel rooms until their travel documents can be prepared. ICE’s goal is to deport the families as quickly as possible. (The New York Times)
The raids are reportedly scheduled to take place in at least 10 major U.S. cities. June’s raid was expected to target Chicago, Baltimore, New York, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, and more.
Trump warned last month if Congress couldn’t find a solution to the immigration crisis the deportations would begin.
At the request of Democrats, I have delayed the Illegal Immigration Removal Process (Deportation) for two weeks to see if the Democrats and Republicans can get together and work out a solution to the Asylum and Loophole problems at the Southern Border. If not, Deportations start!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 22, 2019
Don’t talk about it...DO IT! And media, thanks ever so much for tipping off these avaricious pieces of illegal filth.
2,000 in a weekend is a good start.
For those lamenting it’s not a million, how many do you think ICE is equipped to deport in a single weekend?
So is 2020.
Right. The ICE raids are coming.
In two weeks there will be arrests in the Spygate and Hillary email scandal. (Spoken three months ago.)
The list of legislators making payoffs with taxpayers’ money in sexual scandals will be released next week. (Spoken TWO+ YEARS ago.)
Easter Bunny is coming.
Only 2 possibilities here.
1) The raids will never happen because every time they’re about to some Deep State apparatchiks leak the details to the NY Times.
2) Trump is deliberately engaged in a PsyOp in order to get large numbers of these people to self-deport.
Houston.....YES!!!!
Head ‘em up. Move ‘em OUT.
Why a yawn? The longest journey starts with one step forward...
Let us know when the first step actually happens.
Roundup. Yippy kay yay, m*th*rf*ck*rs.
Maybe the 2,000 are the recently admitted families? I heard they were hearing them and leaving the older claims. If they are relatively recent it will discourage more from coming.
Sunday...
Hmmm... where have we heard this before? Yawn.
JUST DO IT! Enough blather and talk. JUST DO IT!
Stop talking about and just do it.
We are only talking about those with final removal orders.
If we fail to remove those with court orders, then court orders become meaningless.
What was Congress supposed to do about these people with FINAL DEPORTATION ORDERS?
Amnesty would have been the only thing Congress could do.
Do it in stages—A few at first—maybe 200 or 300 hundred. Leave a gap, then 2,000, seem to end it—then Hit hard rounding up 2 million!
ICE doesn’t just sit on its hands
waiting for orders from Trump.
“In FY2018, ERO arrested 158,581 aliens, 90% of whom had criminal convictions (66%), pending criminal charges (21%), or previously issued final orders (3%). The overall arrest figure represents an 11% increase over FY2017.”
Trumps latest ICE raid announcement
is aimed solely at congress due to
their inaction, baring their
inactions for all to see.
Illegals live in fear of being
deported every single day, but
due to sheer numbers, their
odds of getting caught are greatly
reduced.
Yawn is right.
Tomorrow. Always tomorrow.
