James Patterson: Epstein case worse than Weinstein, Cosby allegations, others during #MeToo era

Best-selling author James Patterson on his investigation into Jeffrey Epstein

James Patterson says he hired three 'nasty, heavy-duty private eyes' to dig up 'as much as we could' for the 2016 book 'Filthy Rich: The Billionaire's Sex Scandal.'

"It's horrifying... these are girls, allegedly hundreds of girls," Patterson told host Dana Perino while discussing the charges against Epstein. The veteran author then told Perino he had been told personally that President Trump kicked Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida after learning of an alleged incident with a staff member.

e said. "I spoke to the head of the spa there. I said, 'did you ever meet Epstein?' She said, 'oh yes... he was inappropriate with some of the younger women there.'

"She said she went to Trump and he threw him out of the club."

Patterson told Perino that hundreds of people have come up to him and thanked him for writing his book on Epstein. The author also speculated that Epstein would get significant time behind bars, saying: I would be surprised if Epstein didn't spend a fair amount of time in jail."

My take (ill-formed admittedly): Clinton approaches Patterson, asks to write a book with him (or cut whatever ghost-author deal they did), maybe Clinton greases the deal with an accompanying threat to Patterson to play ball or else.

Publish the novel, thus allowing both to have credibility (or what passes for it these days) for later, when Patterson publishes his great "All these people are guilty but Clinton is innocent and I know it because I know my co-author Clinton really well."

It has the same clumsy, unlikely, phony, crappy half-assed-alibi smell that all Clinton operations have.

But with the Clintons, they are majorly emboldened: They know nobody is going to get at them.

And after Whitewater, Cattle Futures, Vince Foster, Ron Brown, Monica Lewinski, Kathleen Willey, Russian uranium, Mena cocaine, Russiagate, etc., etc., etc., who in his right mind would think anyone would ever, ever get the Clintons in the first place?

What is weird is why would Clinton waste his time with Patterson trying to lavage or otherwise cover up his involvement with these child traffickers?

The smoking gun is seen today, on news shows, that when interviewed about his new investigative book on the child traffickers, he DOES NOT admit his co-authoring a book with Clinton. NOR does any lap-dog journalist take him to task for it or even ask him to admit it!

He actually doesn’t. He writes many but when you see him writing with someone else, it’s a collaboration or he had the idea for the plot.

I posted about this guy here years ago.

Also about how Hillary messed with underaged girls at Epstein’s place.

And, I posted about Kevin Spacey here years back.

I know someone who has a lot of knowledge about these turds.

If the whole truth comes out people will be stunned.

So.... Patterson profited from a book about Epstein, and a book with Epstein’s best buddy, Bill Clinton? And now he’s acting like Big Expert? Something wrong here.

Who was POTUS when Epstein was given a sweetheart plea deal? Who did he always protect and love more than anything?

I will never buy or believe his BS....he co-wrote a book with a frequent passenger on Epstein’s plane.

...doesn’t think Patterson writes his own books much less the one written with the Bubba.

Patterson sells Masterclasses in formula writing. Writers have stated for decades about what it’s like to work for Patterson. It sounds like a novel factory. But it works.

I’ve tried a few of his novels in the past. I’m especially disgusted by his one-sentence *chapters*, but his students, who pay A LOT for the privilege, write ecstatically about what they learned.

FWIW: Patterson writes outlines and scene-by-scene synopsis and others fill it out to specification. Patterson has final editorial control.

Patterson is popular with a wide, huge swath of readers. He writes at a very low level of literacy with lots of salacious detail. Clinton would want this disinfo out there because these people vote and would believe anything in the book was true.

It’s like people I have known who backed their belief in AGW with: “I saw the movie!”

Award for understatement of the decade.

If the charges against Epstein are true, what he did is not at all an example of post-metoo wokeness that would have been shuffled off as “boys will be boys” before Harvey Weinstein, or before 2001, or before 741 AD, for that matter.

And its not at all similar to the pathetic, drug-fueled rape campaign of Bill Cosby.

It is a gigantic, multi-decade (and I presume multi-jurisdictional and probably multi-national) crime spree which almost certainly required corruption of several governments at the highest level.

What he did won’t even fly in France, once victims come forward and they get around to prosecuting him.

And his own account of what he did - “It’s not offending, it’s more like stealing a bagel” - if he really said that, he’s crazy, too, and the government’s motion to deny bail is entirely justified.

It’s my opinion that the Clintons are finished and that the Democrats want them off the front page before the primaries start.

By any means necessary.

If I had any trust in non-partisan justice and NYS prosecutors I’d say let this play out, but I doubt they will do a decent job.

Just how many of his books have you read? They are excellent. Just because one doesn’t like his politics doesn’t make his work crap. He writes excellent mysteries. He is only the all-time best selling author. I read The President is Missing. It’s a very good book. I, however, doubt Clinton wrote a single word of it. He probably only advised on presidential authority, CIA, NSA, esc.

I don’t care for his politics either, but can give credit where credit is due. Something some people on here are incapable of if anyone disagrees with them. And before you attack me as a liberal, I am as conservative as they come.

I’ve picked up a few of his books over the years and never got far. I greatly admire his business savvy and he is a master of branding, but no, I never got the appeal with his books.

I don’t pick books based on ideology. I’m a pragmatist who regularly curses that sort of thing. More power to Patterson for being such a success.

Truthfully, I am really picky about reading material. His are not the only books I don’t get the appeal of. Fifty Shades completely passed me by and I can’t stand most post war American lit.
