No doubt. Still, it seems better to get some info from Steele rather than no one in DOJ getting anything.
I presume that Durham will be thorough. Just because he didn’t talk to Steele doesn’t mean he won’t indict him.
All my faith is in Durham. Horowitz basically is tasked with the job of a troubleshooter, determining how the Department can operate better, including staff. He is just pointing out “issues”. It is not his job per se to identify crimes and refer prosecutions. So while his job is worthwhile and useful, it is not intended to provide any hammer against governmental corruption.
I am hoping Durham and Barr are that hammer.
