Definitely an excellent post. It answers the questions about the statute of limitations and the scope of the FL nonprosecution agreement and gives supporting citations. Now it's possible to see how strong the current prosecution is and it's very strong. Anyone who's read my prior posts on this will see I had serious questions about the S of L and NPA issues.
There's also a serious point this article addresses, albeit indirectly, about Acosta, who was the U. S. Attorney at the time who signed off on the NPA. It looks to me like he was in the unpleasant position of a Lt. Col. who was pressured into doing something he didn't want to do by higher authority that could destroy him if he didn't. Remember, this was the action of the GWB administration and, sad to say, GWB and Clinton were tight as ticks, with Clinton flying around on Epstein's plane and Epstein supporting the Clinton Foundation, which GWB was also up to his eyeballs in. Indeed, the famiglia Bush was the Clintons' ethical laundry. As such, they'd have done their best to whore for Clinton by helping Epstein.
