Acosta was actually working for the Attorney General, as the US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. But rest assured, Bobby Muller was involved in the decision-making process. He has a long history of protecting sleazeballs who are also FBI informants. Just ask Whitey Bulger. Oh, that’s right; he was killed last year, just hours after being transferred to the federal prison in Hazelton, WV, one of the most dangerous in the system. Not that Whitey didn’t deserve his fate, but the transfer decision (and its timing) remain very curious.
