The House will “soon” vote to hold Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary William Ross in contempt of Congress for defying subpoenas for documents explaining the administration’s rationale for wanting to add a citizenship question to the census, Speaker Nancy Pelosi wrote in a “Dear Colleague” letter on Monday.
The Oversight and Reform Committee last month approved a contempt resolution against Barr and Ross that included language to refer the matter to the U.S. attorney in Washington for possible criminal charges, as well as authorize the pursuit of a lawsuit.
The Justice and Commerce departments have provided the Oversight Committee with some documents on the citizenship question while withholding others over claims of executive privilege.
The House, in a floor vote the day before the Oversight contempt markup, already gave all committees the authority to file lawsuits to enforce their subpoenas.
That means a floor vote is not needed for Democrats to try to get a court order forcing Barr and Ross to hand over the outstanding documents they requested.

No! The AG and SC, IG offices are going to bring the charges. There is also issues of voter fraud being investigated by a special task force and other entities. This whole scenario adds up to to a hostile take over of the govt by criminals and domestic enemies. The way this is dealt with is elementary.

This is a reality check for you Mr. Perfect. Arresting the members of the gov’t committing treason and other crimes committing treason is a considerable number because the rot and corruption runs real deep. It is going to bring out the violent behavior from dissidents to begin with. There are enough groups like Antifa, BLM etc that will do this guaranteed. So disbanding Congress is going to be a temporary precaution and necessity because they will not have a representative body that can function under these circumstances in a competent manner. Are you going to get up in arms and do something? I think not. Because if you do you will be arrested, hurt or worse.

I guess we get a new constitution much better then the old one. People vote and they send either the old politicians back or some just like them. You personally I guess keep them from being seated. Maybe you going to restrict voting in some way to stop that? Get new voters? Get the right numbers of voters until they vote right?
