My wife is claustrophobic AND afraid of heights.
I’ll have to suggest we take a trip to drive this tunnel some day.
NOT.

At least our money transfer to China has done some good.

Amazing.
But I hope everyone using it is extra-careful.

4,750 meters = 15,584 feet
As thin as the air is at that altitude breathing could become a real problem if there is much buildup of car exhaust in the tunnel. I hope they installed a good ventilation system.

Can you imagine how many fools would be taking that road to their death? Mt. Everest is already littered with dead bodies.

Doest look too bad/scary

Highway overpasses are scary to Mrs. R2.
I will give her credit though. We travelled the Million Dollar Highway and Independence Pass last September. She did not freak out. She didn’t enjoy it, but did OK.

I have the same thing...more claustrophobia. Not a fan of long tunnels.

China never does anything out of the goodness of their heart, ESPECIALLY for the Tibetan people. Think ‘dual use’...

And the PRA is one step closer to absorbing the rest of the Himalayan countries, and pushing India away.

I would like to see the plan to remove debris from that tunnel in an accident scene.

Seems like a lot of money just to save 7.6 miles off people’s trips.
