Add in the fact that Apple’s design Chief quit yesterday then this announcement, it would be a good time to be a fly on the wall at Apple HQ. Jonny Ive really hasn’t “quit.” He’s left on his own terms to form a new exclusive design company with Apple as its primary customer. He’s moved up from employee to exclusive design consultant and vendor.
