No Democrat on that stage, either night, can beat Trump.... Best the Dems can hope for in 2020, is to put up a candidate that isn’t so far left, that Trumps drubbing of them doesn’t flow down ballot.
Based on those debates, I’d expect Trumps victory to flow, very very very far down ballot.

I’ve been saying to anyone who will listen that there is ZERO way the Dems will run an old white guy (Sanders or Biden). I don’t care how qualified they are or are not. They know they are a party of special interests and old white guys and gals do not get out the Philly/Detroit/Madison/Miami vote. That is the only reason they lost 2016 and they know it (and we better be honest and know it too). Had they had a better candidate (IOW someone who did not keep their base at home in key states)-there would be no president Trump. They would be stupid to make the same mistake again. That’s why I think the eventual nominee MAY still not be announced just yet. They will come in as a savior to this train wreck.
I think someone decided a few days ago that Joe can’t beat Trump, so the media are moving to take him out.
