Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt), a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, said his Medicare for all plan as well as his tuition-free public college and student debt cancellation proposal are going to be fully paid for if he becomes president.
He added that middle-class Americans would pay more in taxes to pay for Medicare for all.
“Every proposal that I have brought forth is fully paid for,” he said at the Democratic presidential primary debate on Thursday night.
Sanders predicted that health insurance premiums would decrease overall under his Medicare for all plan. He was asked if the middle class would have to pay more in taxes if his proposal was passed and signed into law.
“Yes, they will pay more in taxes but less in health care for what they get,” he said.

Sander’s proposals are simply un-serious pandering to get votes from the Free-S***-Army.

Sure. Fully paid for by you and I and all who work or worked, and are receiving an income. It will all be taxed to support Bernie’s and the rest of the Dems “great ideas”.
If they like communism so much, they should just move to N. Korea or Cuba and not try to change the US.
These proposals for “free” public college educations for all, imply that the federal government will pay for college for all in public colleges and universities.
But all 50 states and numerous local community college districts, operate our public colleges and universities. Is the plan for the federal government to take over and operate all of these public colleges and universities?
Will the states and localities still operate these institutions of higher education, and just send a bill to President Bernie Sanders for their costs of operations? Or will President Bernie directly run everything from Washington, DC?
I have not heard anyone address this issue.

Bernie’s not lying on this.
To fund his proposal requires stealing from any net-positive earner/property holder. He knows that; heck, he practically advertises it as a feature. And, he has multiple plans for doing so.

Is he prepared to make up the difference from his personal fortune if it turns out to be more expensive? We need to make “Truth in Advertising” laws applicable to political proposals.
Either that or we should adopt the Locrian custom.
