Resignation over principle is his right & I respect him for it.
However according to Alabamans that I know & who claim familiarity with the situation. (I guess I could research it myself. It should be Alabama public record! For now I am going to assume my friends aren’t full of it!) They say impeachment action/conviction & removal was not over any “gay marriage”. It was over the 10 Commandment disagreement but not the disagreement per se but how he expressed that disagreement. I am told he used illegally “state/court funds” to rebuild, re-enforce, etc. that 10 Commandments monument. Funds that were not legislated to do such a thing. If true that’s theft! And I don’t care if it’s theft in a good cause, it’s still theft! No judge should have anything to do with such an action if he actually respects the law. Again if he true he deserves his impeachment and should not be in the Senate. We have enough thieves there. All claiming they’re stealing for right reasons!

They aren't upset about the funds. They could care less about the money, they were looking for any excuse to get rid of him, and that just happened to be it.

When he ran for election to the Alabama Supreme Court in 2012, the entire Alabama judiciary took out a full page ad in all the major Alabama newspapers urging voters to vote for the Democrat. The Alabama judiciary hated Moore.

Moore won anyway, and I believe he actually won more votes than did Richard Shelby when he ran in 2010. Just checked it. Yes, Moore won with over a Million votes, while Shelby only got 967,861.
