Are they kidding? What’s in it for any of the others to just sit back and let the MSM and the Democrat Party Establishment anoint Biden? If they want the nomination they’re going to have to fight for it and that means tearing down Biden.
As for me, I’m just gonna lay in extra stores of popcorn. :^)

I think the DNC would rather not have Joe Biden as their nominee, however, he will remain the anointed one as long they feel he is their best chance to take back the White House. The thing to watch is the person the DNC selects as his running mate. That person will be the real "anointed one." Biden is frail and seems more confused by the day. If he were to somehow pull off an upset, they'll allow him to take the oath of office, then step down for health reasons after a reasonable period of time, handing the reigns of power over to Vice President Harris, Booker, Warren, or whoever. Biden gets to go out knowing he's realized his life long dream of becoming President, and the DNC gets the person they really wanted in the Oval Office.
What did they think, that everyone was going to stand down and let Biden just take the nomination without a fight?

And for goodness sake - dispense with the word “democratic”. Why can’t people figure it out for themselves - there is no DEMOCRATIC PARTY - it is a Democrat Party. Nothing “democratic” about it but to their ill informed/ignorant voters, it has a certain appeal, I guess. “We’re democratic but the Republicans aren’t”.
Just a teeny bit of criticism for the Dims, and nobody at The Hill wants to take credit for writing it.
